So where do I begin? 😁 I started this journey just under 3 months ago with depression eating away at me and my self esteem at ground zero. I had let myself go at University and I had my epiphany one day at work when I lifted up my shirt in the mirror and realised I was horribly overweight. I decided to change my life.
I started with Jillian Michael’s 30Day Shred and started to eat healthier and cleaner… I then tried Insanity for a week and decided it wasnt for me so I bought the #blackgirlsworkoutoo DVD and started to follow their meal plan and routine.
I had my days (plenty) where I felt like shit and ate like shit and didnt exercise for a couple of weeks but I always remembered why I started my journey and got back on.
Whilst I havent got my “dream” body yet.. I am well on my way and my whole attitude toward life has changed, Im winning the fight against depression and Im progressing and I am so grateful for all my blessings. So I will continue to work hard and at the same time learn to let my hair down every so often… Im coming for that body!
